Learning Rooted in Wonder
At Cedar Homeschool, we believe real education begins with curiosity. Join our nature-inspired, community-led homeschool group in Cedar Springs, MI.
What We Do
At Cedar Homeschool, we believe learning should be rooted in curiosity, connection, and the natural world. Our community offers a nature-inspired, child-led approach where education unfolds through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventures, and meaningful relationships. We honor each child’s unique pace and interests, creating space for confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning to grow.
We’re not a traditional school—and that’s intentional. Cedar is built by and for homeschooling families who value freedom, real-world learning, and community. Whether it’s a forest hike, a collaborative project, or simply time to play, every moment is an invitation to explore, discover, and belong.
Our Values
🌱 Child-Led Learning – We follow their spark, not a script.
🌿 Nature First – Our classroom is the forest, field, and sky.
👨👩👧👦 Community-Rooted – Built by homeschool families, for homeschool families.
✨ Freedom-Centered – No tests. No pressure. Just real, meaningful growth.
A Look Inside Cedar

Learning Through Experience
Our days are filled with hands-on moments—planting seeds, building forts, cooking over fires, and exploring the world through play. Whether outside or in, learning is active, tangible, and joyful.

Gathered, Not Institutionalized
We meet in homes, parks, and shared spaces—never classrooms with fluorescent lights. We believe that learning is more meaningful when it happens in warm, welcoming environments where children feel seen.

Led by Families, Shaped by Community
There’s no staff hierarchy here. Parents bring their passions—whether it’s Spanish, survival skills, or storytelling—and help shape a collaborative space where everyone contributes and belongs.
